Neighborhood Dispute Settlement (NDS) remains grateful for the close working relationship that it has with many of the area’s Magisterial District Courts, police departments, municipal governments, and partnering agencies.
By referring parties in conflict to NDS for mediation or conflict coaching, the referring individual is empowering residents to take responsibility for their own actions and to resolve their own problems.
Although a referral to NDS may come late in the conflict cycle, it is still an excellent opportunity to intervene in such a way as to keep the conflict from escalating further. Moreover, the mediation and conflict coaching processes refocuses participants to help them avoid the need for a “win/lose” outcome that is often desired in the litigation processes.
A referral to NDS not only empowers individuals to resolve their own disputes, but also has the potential to restore broken communication lines.
"I am 100% satisfied with the results obtained through NDS. It is an outstanding court resource with highly trained individuals, who are obviously very invested in helping the litigants referred to the program."
